Anytime Anywhere Learning with AASL in St. Louis

A corner of the Frontenac Hotel

I hesitated including the location in the title of this post, because many of the attendees of this conference will be located at satellite sites across the country.  This will be an unusual conference, in that its a working event.  Librarians will be working to define the learning landscapes, identify the role of the school librarians, explore tools and resources to help school librarians guide anytime anywhere activities and develop action plans.

My contribution will be an exploration of the digital learning experience.  I often call it the digital native learning experience, because much of it has been mapped and even documented by our students’ generation.  Specifically, I will describe four qualities of that learning experience, what they look like outside of school, and how they might be incorporated into formal learning environments.
